Author's Mission Statement

 

     Strictly speaking, the events narrated in this book are not historical. Twenty-first century realities and objects often appear in them as if they had existed in the first century AD. But the book presents a true picture of Jesus as I have loved him, especially since reading Neal Donald Walsch's Conversations with God in late 2001.

     In this collection of stories I share with you  the picture of Jesus that I passionately love and admire. He was courageous enough to search for his own image of God, even if it meant contradicting the religious authorities of his nation. He was eager to share his idea of an unconditionally loving God with others, but he was not fully understood. His early followers transformed him from the most powerful and eloquent revealer of eternal and universal salvation to the savior of only those few who accepted the official version of his teachings. Fossilized beliefs (technically called dogmas), with their paralyzing power, are the unfortunate result of this misunderstanding.

     It is easier to prevent unloving ideas from becoming deeply entrenched beliefs when we are young. That is why this book is addressed primarily to a young audience. But even when we are one hundred years old, our souls are eternal, and one hundred years seem like a fraction of a second in comparison.

     So, take up the challenge and read, no matter what your age. Allow your ever-loving soul to guide you through life just as Jesus did, as revealed both in the Gospels and in the stories of this collection. Have fun as, on the pages to follow, you meet the most loving Jesus that you could imagine .

     When you have finished reading and reflecting on these stories, do not be sad. A new anthology of Jesus stories is already in the making. The Jesus You've Never Imagined is now on its way from me to you. It is only a matter of time until we meet again.
