offeing foreign publication rights

Dear Publisher:

Changes in the publishing industry are leaving new writers confused and
frustrated. The old roads to publishing success now lead to dead ends,
and few writers understand today's pathways.  Many books are
available to guide today's writers. Three of the more popular such
        books are:

        1) The Self-Publishing Manual. Dan Poynter. 9th edition 1996.
        Para Publishing, Santa Barbara, Ca.

Poynter's no-nonsense approach concentrates heavily on the steps
of book production and distribution, with some interesting ideas
        on promotion.

        2) How To Get Happily Published. Judith Appelbaum. 4th edition
        1992. HarperCollins, New York

Appelbaum's style is more humane, sprinkled with anecdotes but
        light on detail.

        3) Getting Your Book Published. Christine Smedleyetal. 1993.
        Sage Publications, CA, UK, India.

Smedley et al do a good job of walking academic and scientific
        writers through the rigours
of writing and publishing in this limited
market, but fail to offer any information on text or trade
publishing areas in which more than 50% of all books are published.

While each of these books has much to offer, none of them covers
everything a writer needs to know. In 1997 a new book was
published to address the entire gamut of writers' needs and to
suggest an innovative approach to writing, with publishing success
        as the goal.

Write Publish & Market Your Book includes the strong points of
all three of the popular books mentioned above, adding to the mix
a thorough and user-friendly section on the craft of writing both
fiction and non-fiction. It is inclusive enough to appeal to every
writer who wants to get published, whether writing fiction or
non-fiction and regardless of the area of market appeal.

The strengths of this book are best summed up by
        The Midwest Book Review's remarks:

Plenty of how-to titles cover the basics of writing,
marketing and the publishing industry: this differs
from competitors in its equal attention to all three
topics and how they interrelate to spell success or failure.

The book has been enjoying healthy sales in the United States.
We now offer it to you for foreign publication rights. If you
should have any questions or need further information, please
call, write, fax or e-mail us. We look forward to hearing from
        you.
